Last Week in Australia
With only Mason and I left staying with Troy for the last week down under, we decided to head North to Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. Some of the deepest bowls we've ever ridden along with visiting the Eastern most part of Australia and hiking to some waterfalls. We also slept on the side of a cliff to break up the sleeping inside so much. https://www.ftecollective.com/collections/new-products/products/fte-x-aus
We drove to the 12 Apostles and got a penthouse
Half the boys made their way back to America, so Troy, Mason, and Rob made the decision to drive south to Melbourne to ride bikes and see the 12 Apostles. We stayed in a 23rd floor apartment, rode some very deep concrete transitions, and endured hurricane wind conditions at the 12 Apostles. And Rob drove on the left side of the road for the first time. https://www.ftecollective.com/collections/new-products/products/fte-x-aus
LAST DAY IN AUSTRALIA (for some of us)
James, Zach, and Tristan had one more day in Australia before heading back to the states, so Troy gave us one last grand final tour of Canberra to hit all the spots we hadn't been to yet. We managed to ride an intimidating U-Pipe with zero flat bottom in it, some trails (one running dirt jump) for James, and went to a few of the local parks again. Tristan accidentally booked his flight home a day early so he missed out on some of this. Sorry Tristan. Mason and I still had a few more weeks to go so we...
DEEP BOWLS, SNOWMEN, AND THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE PROGRAM
After Sydney, we made our way back down to Canberra to ride all the parks and let Troy be our tour guide. A lot of the parks we wanted to ride were in Canberra so we squeezed a ton of riding in within a few days including some bucket list spots. We also doubted Australia's space program so Troy took us to their headquarters. And managed to hike to a waterfall and have a snowball fight. https://www.ftecollective.com/collections/new-products/products/fte-x-aus
ROAD TRIP TO SYDNEY/BONDI BEACH SUNRISE SESSION: AUSTRALIA PART II
We loaded up our recently rented van and headed north to start the road trip up to Sydney. After a couple stops to ride some parks and toss the rugby ball around, we managed to make it to Sydney to pay $50 to leave the van at a loading dock overnight. We woke up before the sun to catch a session at the famous Bondi Beach park during sunrise. After being tourists at the Opera House, we hit Five Dock, one of the gnarlier parks any of us had ridden, and another park before the day was over. We were...
